DETAILS

An excellent exercise in discovering solutions to often not so visible site conditions packaged into visual senario that we will exploring on our case study page.

ABOUT THE PROJECT

Our Goal: Design
a modern abode
with just the right
amount of rustic
details.

The goal really was first to facilitate the new family needs and room for family growth… the clients have worked hard all their lives and have finally been able to reap the benefits of a full custom home design and the trend line implements that accompany a confident design team.

CHALLENGES

Challenge 1 / The budget

The budget is always the key authority in making these lasting decisions, non the less, a cost must be established in order to understanding the priority of the scope ahead. Traditionally the design could be produced in its most comprehensive form in advance, this is best practiced in the commercial scopes to secure a look/ feel and cost assessment as part of a projection analysis for financing, however, this may not always be possible so a general budget by the client/ owner is set so that both design and construction have a baseline reference to begin from.
Design and pre construction assessment fees are generally the soft costs associated to a total budget

Challenge 2 / Sourcing

We followed up with material studies and showed the client the samples we were hoping to use to balance and set the space for their living experience. This will then determine potential cost savings, more accurate cost alternatives for clients and procurement agents to source to ensure the same look and feel is attained for less.

Challenge 3 / The plan

During this project we administered the sketch study stage to create vignettes of the space we are laying out, and most times by emersive sketching technique, we discover a lot about how our space work both on plan and in elevation form.

The Plan: “Plan for what is difficult while it is easy, do what is great while it is small”

THE CREATIVE PROCESS

Even the smallest details are thoroughly thought out.

THE FINAL RESULT

The Final Result—
a modern, bright space.

Work Scope / What we did:

  • Architectural Plans
  • Interior Design
  • Furniture Selection
  • Research
  • Permits
  • Construction Documentation
  • Preliminary Design Drawings
  • Sceduled Project Goals

Benefits / What our service brought to this project:

  • We felt our service brough clarity to the client during the process of both design stage and contruction.
  • Although we may have some foresight on this process, its not common that everyone can see the big picture. We communicate well with the contracotrs so to mitigate information transfer difficulties.
  • So its important to inform the client during the processes with a sort of play by play approach in steps taken to obtain data and correct any discrepancies to achieve the goal
